ICC Goal: Improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and their families
Quality of life issues cut across every aspect of the cancer continuum, from prevention through palliation. Quality of life is subjective and is best assessed from the patient’s perspective. The impact of cancer on the quality of life of patients and their families can be severe. Cancer may affect quality of life in the short and long term, and the same type and state of cancer may affect quality of life differently for different individuals.
