2012 Annual Meeting

The 2012 Indiana Cancer Consortium Annual Meeting took place on Friday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Joseph E. Walther Hall on the IUPUI campus. The meeting entitled “Hot Topics in Cancer Prevention and Control” was well attended, and during the event, the ICC unveiled the Indiana Cancer Facts and Figures 2012 along with our second infograph entitled “The Impact of Cancer in Indiana.” Additionally, the ICC distinguished a number of members:

  • ICC Outstanding Contributions to Cancer Control (Individual) – Dr. Robert Goulet
  • ICC Outstanding Contributions to Cancer Control (Organization) – Little Red Door Cancer Agency
  • David Caldwell Survivorship Award – Gene Bednarek
  • Cancer Control Champion – Wendy Noe, Tanya Parrish, and Revienne Shedd-Steele

The ICC was also recognized by the Indiana General Assembly for its work in cancer research, prevention, and advocacy.
